Meet your coach!

Hi, my name is Jess and I am so glad that you have found your way to me. I am a sex and relationship coach as well as a Shamanic practitioner and I am thrilled to be on this journey with you. As a sex and relationship coach, I am dedicated to working with you and/or your partner(s) to set goals and explore the vast possibilities inherent in your sexual and sensual life/lives. Today, we have lost touch with the inherently sacred nature of sex and pleasure and it is my goal to assist clients as they get back in touch with expressions of sex and sexuality which are deeply rooted in our minds, bodies, and spirits. Please see the link for sex and relationship coaching for information concerning this offering.
I am also a Shamanic practitioner trained in the Andean Shamanic tradition. Shamanism is a deeply spiritual and transcendent practice that gets both client and practitioner in touch with areas in need of healing within the spiritual plane: past lives, the Luminous Energy Body, chakras, connecting cords, soul retrieval, and beyond. A shamanic healing service is an opportunity to release energy that no longer serves the client, and the practitioner works alongside of guides and spiritual helpers to assist in healing wounds and traumas that present that day or which the practitioner is guided to heal. It is worth noting that clients may come in wanting to work on one wound or struggle, but something else presents itself in the course of the healing session. Each session is different and tailored to the needs of the client and the direction of the guides. Like sex and relationship coaching, please see the link for shamanic healing for more information. Clients may decide that they would like to work with me either in the capacity of shamanic healing or sex coaching alone or a combination of shamanic healing and coaching.
I have lived my life fascinated by both sex and spirit. Indeed, nearly my entire research career has been focused on sex and sexuality across time, space, and place and I have recently begun research dealing with the intersection of sex and spirituality. My early life in a deeply restrictive church and school essentially primed my curiosity around sex, other religions, and the prohibitions against each in the Judeo-Christian church, thus my ultimate connection to Lilith and all that she represents. I began practicing Wicca and Pagan traditions in my early teens and that connection led me to Shamanism during a particularly tumultuous change in my life after I completed my doctoral work. I have taught at the college level since 2011 and have published many articles and two books on the ways in which we, as a culture, conceptualize sex and eroticism on the page. In 2024, I realized that all of the work I had done, to that date, had been in preparation for me to begin helping people with their sexuality and connection to their own needs, desires, and pleasures. Though I am open to all clients from all backgrounds and identities, I am particularly drawn to working with women, empowering them to shape an erotic life that is wholly based on their desires, freed from cultural narratives and strictures. Too, though I am a practicing Shaman and tied to earthly spirituality, I welcome clients from all religions to my practice.
I want for you to know that I consciously shape my sessions, whether for coaching or workshops or shamanic healings, in order to generate an environment that feels like you have stepped into a safe place: a place where you can be free to be whoever you are, unencumbered, thus the draw toward “hearths” in my practice. Though we will likely be on Zoom or over the phone, I want for you to feel as if you have stepped over to a warm fire where we can sit together, share stories, and engage in transformative conversation and healing that will help you shape and achieve the life you imagine. You have a right to pleasure, to comfort, peace and safety and I envision my role as one where I walk with you along the path toward achieving these sensations, with the help of my guides and my training. I thrive in the coaching and healing environment and nothing brings me more excitement and joy than seeing a client achieve a goal they thought or felt was impossible.
We live in a world where we are more connected than ever through digital platforms, but it feels that we have lost a sense of real human connection. Getting back to those real human connections begins with shaping a sense of self, being vulnerable and radically honest about who we are at the core of our being. To reach those parts of ourselves, we have to be ready to explore the depths of ourselves, unearthing our identities freed from the cultural narratives that often hold us back. In our intimate relationships, we are often fearful of exploring and exposing our desires and hopes as we are terrified that what we share will turn our partners away from us. To generate a relationship, whether with ourselves or with a partner that is transcendent, we must be willing to confront and embrace who we are and what we desire, generating power and strength to communicate those needs and identities without that fear holding us back. This is where a coach steps in and these are the types of conversations in which I thrive.
In Shamanism, one is taught to learn from shadows, from spirits and guides, the parts of ourselves that lie in deep and sometimes hidden places. It takes courage, strength, and resiliency to do the hard work of learning about yourself and your needs and having someone there to work with you on your path of discovery is important as it is rewarding. Together, we will fearlessly explore who you are, where you are going, and what you dream of for your life and relationships. Indeed, I see an interconnection between sex coaching and shamanism where we explore, together, your mind, body, and spirit to develop a vision for your life that is ongoing, ever evolving, and consistently exciting. My mentor has taught me to always “walk in the mystery” and to smile with my whole heart and soul as I embrace the unknown and the unknowable. We are all on journeys toward who we want to be and saying “yes” to intentionally walking that path requires immense courage. It won’t always be comfortable, but it will always be worth it.
In closing, sex coaching and Shamanic healing are each supplementary to overall health and wellness, meaning that any client *must* be in regular contact with a practicing physician, especially if there are underlying medical and/or psychological conditions. Any type of holistic health/wellness and/or coaching is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure an ailment. It is meant as a support to other contemporary medical interventions and is designed to work in relation to Western medical techniques. At times, I may and often will request that a client reach out to a medical doctor, therapist, or license clinical psychologist if the needs of a client are beyond what a coach or holistic healer is able to navigate.
